Agility, a prominent supply chain services, infrastructure, and innovation company, has reaffirmed its commitment to combating climate change by signing the World Economic Forum’s joint communique on achieving a net-zero future for the Middle East. Agility is one of 14 leading companies in the region that have pledged to drive their organizations to net zero, deliver near-term emission reductions, enable greener growth, build awareness and capability, and collaborate with the public sector to create an enabling ecosystem.

The company has implemented a group-wide approach to sustainability, and its subsidiaries, Menzies Aviation and Tristar, have established net-zero goals. Menzies aims for net zero by 2045, while Tristar’s target is 2050. Both companies have short-term emission reduction targets aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) corporate Net Zero standard.

Agility Logistics Parks (ALP), another subsidiary, is leading the way in using sustainable materials and designs across the MENA region. ALP’s warehousing complexes in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Cote d’Ivoire have earned the first EDGE Advanced Certifications ever awarded in MENA and West Africa, respectively, recognizing buildings that are at least 40% more energy-efficient than the market.

Tarek Sultan, Agility Vice Chairman, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and the importance of collaboration to achieve emission reductions and reach net-zero goals in the region.
